The Associate Marketing Manager will be an instrumental in designing, executing and optimizing the marketing strategy for Japan Language Service & Technology (Transform) business unit.  Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing in APAC & India, and dotted line to Marketing Manager in Japan.  This position will support local sales teams by identifying marketing opportunities and delivering strategic solution that align with business objectives in Japan.  The ideal candidate should possess strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across multiple functions.

Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Marketing & Sales to understand sales objectives, conduct market research to identify target markets, and selling strategies to develop a comprehensive marketing plan, including a mix of tactics to enhance brand awareness, engagement and lead generation
  • Lead integrated marketing campaigns, incorporating innovative lead-generation initiatives such as events, account-based marketing, partner marketing, direct marketing, social media engagement, digital advertising, webinars, collateral development and customers case studies
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders across various levels within the organization
  • Analyze and report on campaign performance, leveraging key metrics to refine and optimize future initiatives
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring attention to detail, problem-solving capabilities, and a data-driven approach to achieving results
  • Oversee marketing budgets together with Marketing Manager in Japan, track metrics, and evaluate return on investment (ROI) for marketing spend
  • Liaise with Field Marketing Managers in other regions and group marketing teams to share best practices
  • Monitor competitor activities, communications and marketing efforts, utilizing insights to refine and enhance marketing strategies

Skills & Experience

  • Native-level Japanese language skills, including content creation, copywriting and stakeholder communications
  • Business-level English proficiency, with the ability to collaborate with regional APAC team, participate in meetings, and deliver reporting and presentations in English. 
  • 6 years + marketing experience in event management and digital marketing within a high-tech B2B environment
  • Strong analytical skills with a results-driven mindset, able to work independently and make data-informed decisions
  • Experience managing social media platforms and leveraging digital tools to drive customer engagement and lead generation
  • Proven track record in campaign strategy, execution, and demonstrating measurable marketing ROI
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Salesforce, Hubspot, Canva and other marketing automation and video editing tools 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to contribute to content creation
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive initiatives and lead projects independently
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong team player with a collaborative mindset

 

Desirable

 

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in marketing, Communications, Business Studies or similar
  • Experience in IT, software and services marketing
  • Background in B2B marketing, particularly within the IT / software industry
