Data & Technology Accountant

This is a hands-on role for someone who is genuinely excited by data, tools, and process improvement. As our Data & Technology Specialist, you will be the go-to person across the R2R function for all things digital — from day-to-day Excel support to owning our reconciliation and data platform, ADRa.

You will sit within the Process Excellence team, reporting directly to the Process Excellence Lead, and will play a key role in helping our GL accountants and team leads work smarter. This means building better tools, supporting automation initiatives, creating dashboards that make performance visible, and being the person the team turns to when they need practical, technology-driven solutions.

This is a great entry point for someone who wants to build a career at the intersection of finance and technology — with real exposure to process improvement, digitalisation, and a growing Finance Centre of Excellence.

In joining RWS’s Finance team you will be a critical part of supporting a listed world-leading provider of technology-enabled language, content, and intellectual property services. Key Responsibilities

• Own the ADRa reconciliation platform (administration, support, and ongoing improvements), acting as the main point of contact for users
• Monitor data integrity and system performance, resolving issues and maintaining clear documentation and best practices
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within R2R, delivering practical solutions and driving automation and efficiency
• Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and data insights to support performance tracking and decision-making
• Provide Excel and digital tools support across the team, developing templates, improving processes, and upskilling colleagues
   

Skills & Experience

• min. 1–3 years of experience in a finance, data, or technology-oriented role - within a Shared Services, Centre of Excellence, or similar environment
• Strong Excel skills - comfortable with advanced formulas, pivot tables, data modelling, and building tools for others to use
• Genuine interest in process improvement, automation, and using technology to make work better
• Attention to detail and a methodical approach to data quality and accuracy
• Good communicator - able to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical colleagues
• Eagerness to learn and take ownership of tasks independently
• Fluent in English; Czech language skills are an advantage
• Experience with Power BI, Power Query, or similar data visualisation and transformation tools would be a plus
