Job Purpose

We are looking for an experienced Senior SQL Server Developer with 7- 9 years of hands-on experience in database development, data integration, and reporting. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, ETL development using SSIS, reporting using SSRS, and data visualization using Power BI. This role involves designing scalable data solutions, optimizing performance, and delivering high-quality business intelligence reports.

Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Develop and manage ETL workflows using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
  • Create and deploy reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
  • Build interactive dashboards and data models in Power BI
  • Optimize database performance through indexing, query tuning, and execution plan analysis
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and translate reporting requirements
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to data pipelines and reports
  • Participate in data warehouse design and implementation
  • Document technical designs, processes, and data flows

 

Skills & Experience

  • 7-9 years of experience in SQL Server developmentt
  • Strong expertise in T-SQL (joins, CTEs, window functions, stored procedures)
  • Hands-on experience with SSIS for ETL development
  • Strong experience with SSRS for report development
  • Proficiency in Power BI (DAX, data modeling, dashboards)
  • Experience in performance tuning and query optimization
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts (star schema, fact/dimension tables)
  • Experience working with large datasets (GBs to TBs)
  • Familiarity with source control tools (Git, Azure DevOps, etc.)
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Exposure to Azure Data Factory or modern ETL tools
  • Knowledge of Snowflake or other cloud data warehouses
  • Experience with data migration projects
  • Understanding of Python or scripting for automation
