Senior Mulesoft Engineer

The Senior Mulesoft Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing integration solutions using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform. This role involves working on internal and external projects, either independently or as part of a larger team led by a Lead Developer. The candidate ensures delivery of high-quality integration solutions within agreed scope and timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Participates in integration project analysis – gathers and evaluates business and technical requirements, prioritizes them, and estimates effort and complexity.
• Designs and develops APIs and integration flows using MuleSoft Anypoint Studio and related tools, following best practices and company standards.
• Defines and executes functional and performance tests for MuleSoft APIs and integrations; automates testing where applicable.
• Creates and maintains technical documentation including integration designs, API specifications (RAML), and deployment guides.
• Provides maintenance and support for MuleSoft applications and integrations, including troubleshooting and continuous improvement based on user feedback.
• Delivers 3rd-level support for MuleSoft-based systems and integrations used internally or by clients.
• Provides consultancy and shares MuleSoft expertise with developers, IT staff, and business stakeholders.
• Contributes to continuous improvement of integration development processes and practices.
• Keeps up-to-date with MuleSoft platform updates, integration trends, and best practices; specializes in areas aligned with company needs.
• Reports progress regularly on assigned integration tasks and projects.

Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in software development or integration projects
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform
• Experience with API design, microservices, and cloud integration
• MuleSoft certifications (Developer, Architect) are highly desirable
• Strong understanding of integration patterns, RESTful APIs, and web services
• Proficiency in MuleSoft Anypoint Studio, DataWeave, and API Manager
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools, version control (Git), and DevOps practices
• Basic knowledge of ITIL, Agile/SCRUM, and Kanban methodologies
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus
