Job Purpose

Propylon has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Analyst to join a new team within our LWB360 department. This team is being created to service the delivery of LWB360 to the South Australian Parliament, making this a key role in the team.

The successful candidate will work closely with clients and internal teams to ensure that document workflow software solutions are designed, specified, and implemented successfully. Being based close to our first client in Australia removes the need for travel and ensures strong, direct client relationships.

This role contributes to the specification, design, and implementation of LWB360 solutions, ensuring requirements are translated into actionable development tasks and delivered effectively.

Job Overview

Responsibilities:

 

  • Work closely with developers and client subject matter experts to ensure client requirements are fully understood and successfully delivered.
  • Participate in workshops with key stakeholders, including internal and external senior management, to gather business requirements and translate them into user stories and development tasks.
  • Build strong relationships with all stakeholders, acting as the point of contact for issues and blockers, ensuring they are proactively addressed.
  • Document Functional Specifications and work with Technical Leads and Senior BAs to support solution design and successful implementation.
  • Prepare and implement deployment activities for each project, including client training/demo sessions, user guides, and internal knowledge sharing.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Develop an understanding and expertise of client businesses to stay up-to-date with needs, managing expectations through proactive communication.
  • Participate in client presentations and demonstrations of software solutions.
  • Define, plan, and execute manual test scripts as needed.
  • Identify and recommend best practices for the Business Analyst team, sharing lessons learned and experience.

 

Requirements:

  • 4+ years’ experience in a technical Business Analyst role.
  • Degree in Computer Science, IT, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong business analysis skills with the ability to understand complex business requirements.
  • Experience in writing Business Requirements and/or Functional Specification documents.
  • Knowledge of SDLC principles.
  • Ability to understand and document complex document-centric workflows and conceptualize them in IT terms.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong technical knowledge and experience with software testing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven decision-making capabilities.
  • Highly organized, presentable, and able to manage time effectively.
