Senior BI and Data Product Analyst

This role within RWS Product & Technology will support the development of our Data and AI capabilities. As a BI & Data Product Analyst, you will assist in transforming enterprise data into valuable, governed data products. You will learn to apply product thinking to data assets, support decision-making, and help enable analytics and AI initiatives under the guidance of senior team members.

You will support the management of a specific data domain, contributing to its roadmap, quality, and business impact. This is a great opportunity to learn about data lifecycles, modern data governance, and concepts like Data Mesh, while working closely with experienced Data Product Managers, Data Engineers, and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the end-to-end lifecycle of data products, focusing on learning and supporting business and technical objectives.
• Help define and develop data products by gathering requirements, documenting user needs, and supporting roadmap activities.
• Support communication between Data Engineering teams and business domain experts, helping translate business needs into data requirements.
• Contribute to documentation and tooling /to help business users access and use data products.
• Learn to design data products that support analytics and AI, under the supervision of senior team members.
• Support adherence to data governance standards (e.g., Discoverable, Addressable, Trustworthy, Self-describing, Interoperable, Secure).
• Assist in monitoring data product adoption, usage, and quality metrics, and help track key performance indicators.
• Participate in team meetings, training, and continuous improvement activities.

Skills & Experience

• • Strong problem-solving abilities that identify the root cause of problems, assessing risks/impacts and determining and implementing effective solutions
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong presentation skills with an ability to communicate complex findings to non-technical audiences in a clear, simple way, both written and verbally (exceptional English skills are required)
  • The ability to
    • Write and optimize SQL queries
    • Use BI software (ideally Sisense / Looker / PowerBI or similar)
    • Have a good command of Excel and PowerPoint or equivalents
  • Analytical aptitude and interest in interrogating data to develop hypotheses and insights.
  • Data Modelling experience advantageous
  • Ability to manage multiple projects to completion.
  • Proactive and forward thinking
  • Must work well in a team environment

Benefit Skills to have

• • Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform or analytics tools is a plus
  • Interest in AI/ML and how data supports these technologies.
