Job Purpose

We are looking for a highly detail-oriented and client-focused Senior IP Consultant to manage the end-to-end customer service process for patent filing, translation and renewal services.  The role  will be responsible for the delivery and customer engagement model for RWS’ IP Solutions in Korea.

Key Deliverables

 

  • Implementation of a Target Operating Model to scale IP solutions in Korea.
  • Improve speed to revenue for IP solutions in Korea
  • Ensure IP Solutions customers in Korea receive a world-class service.
  • Encourage customer take up of the IP Solutions Digital Platform.
  • Continuously review and improve processes to serve IP Solutions customers in Korea locally.

 

Main Duties & Responsibilities

 

  • Customer interface for patent filing, translation and renewal services.
  • In conjunction with IP Solutions global product strategy, enable capability in Korea for new IP Solutions product lines.
  • Continuously review cost to serve, manage capacity & utilization.
  • Oversee the delivery of IP Solutions to Korea clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention
  • Collaborate with the Sales team to align service delivery with client needs and revenue targets.
  • Maintain strong client relationships.
  • Develop and implement annual objectives and performance metrics to achieve revenue and profit targets.
  • Monitor market trends and client needs to identify opportunities for business growth and improvement.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members to ensure effective execution of daily operations and long-term objectives.
  • Foster a trusting and collaborative work environment that encourages professional growth and self-development.
  • Maintain strong relationships with global stakeholders, including corporate headquarters and other regional offices.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and skill development within the team.
  • Partner with HR to support talent development, recruitment, and retention strategies.
  • Coordinate with IT and Finance to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with corporate policies.
  • Partner with IP Solutions function to drive localized requirements for Korea IP market.

 

 

Skills & Experience

 

  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in a customer-focused senior management role.
  • Experience in the IP industry is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills, Fluency in English, with exceptional oral and written communication abilities. You must be able to draft clear, concise emails and reports, and effectively lead discussions with global stakeholders, with the ability to explain complex procedures clearly to non-specialists.
  • Exceptional Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a high degree of organization and attention to detail.
  • A strong dedication to providing outstanding service and support to customers.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a timely manner in a fast-paced environment.
  • A self-starter, working without supervision and able to navigate across internal and external senior stakeholder groups.
  • Ability to operate in a matrix organization.
  • Experience in building a scalable operating model, proven track record in building and developing teams
  • Ability to work with sales teams to deliver world-class customer experience.
  • Understand how to deliver scalable localization
  • Commercially orientated.
