Job Purpose

This is an exciting role within a fast-paced environment, offering a unique opportunity to develop event project management skills and digital marketing expertise in a global setting. The position is offered as a fixed-term 12-month contract.

Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Own and drive the whole process of the event, from planning through to post-event activity.
  • Produce and manage the event brief, which at a minimum, should include:
    o Key event details
    o Event objectives, goals, aims
    o Event RACI
    o Budget o ROI / reporting plan
  • Create and manage the marketing plan, assigning work to project stakeholders as necessary (example tasks include creating webpage listings, social media posts, content for BU newsletters, creating and sending marketing emails, and liaising with sales to promote the event).
  • Secure and coordinate speaking opportunities where applicable.
  • Manage and coordinate all event logistics, including organizers, suppliers and contractors. Negotiate contracts and ensure budgets and deadlines are achieved.
  • Manage the event budget and ensure there are no unauthorized overages.
  • Internal stakeholder management – Instigated regular meetings, assign tasks, handle queries and troubleshoot where needed.
  • Manage internal event attendees, giving full briefings before the event (incl. details/responsibility of stand build and break down at the event).
  • Research and implement creative lead generation activities and event themes.
  • Ensure GDPR or equivalent local obligations are followed.
  • Coordinate shipping and storage (promo items, stands etc.).
  • Collate post-event feedback from team.
  • Event Salesforce management - including updating the event SF campaign with all contacts collected at the event – communicate this to stakeholders.
  • Present ROI report.

 

Skills & Experience

 

  • Enthusiastic, hands-on and can work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Be an enthusiastic and passionate leader and team player.
  • Demonstrate that you can take the event to the next level (go above and beyond standard event delivery responsibilities, i.e. creative promotional ideas, creative marketing activity).
  • Have a keen eye for detail and exhibit exceptional organisation skills.
  • Efficiency and attention to detail on all tasks are essential.
  • Fantastic communication skills (both written and verbal) and professional, friendly demeanour.
