Job Purpose

As a Business Data Technician you’ll play a key role in managing and improving large-scale data processes, analyzing partner data, and developing tools and scripts to enhance the team’s efficiency and accuracy. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to handle technical cases and assist on automation solutions.

Job Overview

On a given day, your work might include:

  • Managing support cases, especially those involving large lists of reported issues.
  • Developing and improving automation scripts to optimize processes and related data workflows.
  • Analyzing large data sets to troubleshoot partner data ingestion alerts or production-level inconsistencies.
  • Handling special data-related requests from internal stakeholders.

 An ideal Business Data Technician would be:

  • Experienced with Python and SQL, and familiar with ETL processes.
  • Hands-on with Spark and Snowflake for large-scale data handling.
  • Experienced with data visualization and reporting tools such as Tableau.
  • Self-driven, proactive, and quick to learn new tools and technologies.
  • Strong communicator and effective collaborator within a cross-functional environment.

It would be great if you had:

  • Experience in large data environments or technical support operations.
  • Familiarity with data ingestion pipelines and issue triaging.
  • Ability to create and maintain automation scripts for data workflows.
  • Background in Data Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.

 Candidates must:

  • Be eligible to work in Ireland.
  • Have excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Be available to work full-time in a hybrid modality in Cork, Ireland.

  • Specified Purpose Contract with possibility of extension (with 6-month probation period).
