Job Purpose

We’re looking for a strategic and experienced Senior Compensation Manager to lead the development and management of our global compensation framework. In this pivotal role, you will oversee compensation programs across 40+ countries where RWS operates, including the United Kingdom, China, India, Czechia, Poland, Spain, Argentina, and more.

Reporting to the VP Global Reward, you will play a key role in shaping and implementing a consistent, equitable, and effective approach to compensation. As we undergo a comprehensive review of our global compensation practices, you will be instrumental in designing and rolling out policies, processes, and systems that support our business and people strategy.

Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Define the compensation approach across our global businesses, considering their business needs, market data and internal insights
  • Design and roll out the policy and process framework for RWS globally
  • Define the RWS compensation governance framework
  • Ensure our compensation programs remain competitive across all markets
  • Provide training and guidance to Leaders, Managers and the HR partners on how to leverage our compensation program to achieve our attraction and retention objectives
  • Partner with local HR and shared services to ensure effective operation of our compensation processes
  • Own the global job architecture framework, keeping it in step with our constantly evolving organization
  • Develop and maintain the compensation module within our HRIS system
  • Develop a global metrics and feedback system to ensure aligned individual/business decisions and drive improvement
  • Develop and deploy compensation communication packs and toolkits to support our HR partners and line managers in the deployment of our compensation message
  • Support lead team and board-level reporting as needed

 

Skills & Experience

 

  • Partnering with HR and business leaders to design and adapt compensation programs to business strategy
  • Balancing corporate and business unit needs to develop a harmonized corporate compensation program
  • Synthesizing various data sources and feedback to distill key insights and develop recommendations
  • Managing compensation in a complex, multi-country, matrixed organization, with a history of acquisitions
  • Developing and managing an integrated project plan to implement new processes, systems and to manage compensation cycles
  • Implementing a compensation module (with customization as needed) as part of an HRIS implementation project
  • Experience working in client-centred roles would be a plus
  • Ability to partner with all levels of the organization
  • Passionate about the world of Reward, staying up to date with latest trends and constantly finding practical solutions to compensation challenges.
  • 10+ years prior experience in international compensation management – exposure to IT services would be a plus
