Job Purpose

As a Business Data Technician
, you would be part of a team focused on internal testing, data quality validation, and ingestion workflows. This team is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and readiness of business-critical data processes before they reach production or end users.

Job Overview

On a given day, your work might include:

  • Monitoring and logging system notifications from automated tools to flag internal issues
  • Performing data qualification and validation through testing processes
  • Supporting bulk upload operations by validating task quality and ensuring proper data processing
  • Conducting ingestion process tests to proactively identify potential errors before they impact operations
  • Analyzing information and issues to bring them to resolution through web-research, data analysis, and critical thinking
  • Applying critical thinking to identify high-level data trends
  • Performing occasional software usability testing and provide feedback
  • Processing business applications

 

Candidates must:

  • Be eligible to work in Ireland
  • Have native speaker fluency in English with communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Able to work on a full-time basis under a hybrid modality in Cork, Ireland

 

An ideal Business Data Technician would be: 

  • Detail-oriented
  • Adaptable to multiple internal systems
  • Passionate about IT and familiar with iOS and macOS
  • Able to work with large datasets, identify patterns and trends and draw conclusions to recommend actions
  • Comfortable with placing outbound calls
  • Skilled at web-research and web-based maps applications
  • Comfortable working independently, as well as in small and large cross-functional teams

 

It would be great if you have:

  • Experience with spreadsheets.
  • Experience with database systems
  • Familiarity with basic GIS concepts.
  • Familiarity with web-based map applications
  • Experience in data analysis
  • Experience with social media sites
  • University Degree in Business Analysis or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Specified Purpose Contract with possibility of extension (with 6-months’ probation period)
