Job Purpose

Job Purpose

 

As a Manager of SC Custom Solutions team, you will manage a group of professionals and execute departmental plans and priorities, focusing on building and managing customized supply chain solutions of varying complexities, enabling client delivery across a range of localization and/or data services projects. This may include large-scale cross-functional projects and solutions.  This includes, but is not limited to onboarding and qualification, financials, risk, compliance, contracting, reporting and supplier performance management.

You will be expected to support, develop and lead your direct reports, as well as to proactively review existing processes and propose/implement improvements where applicable. You will be expected to take ownership of the assigned account or group of accounts and ensure that supply chain solutions meet expectations, are provided in a timely manner and align with overall strategy.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Manage a group of direct reports providing customized supply chain solutions to our internal teams responsible for client delivery.
  • Participate on creation of supply chain strategy for the assigned account(s), as well as build and manage related custom supply chain solutions with your team - based on client requirements and aligned with wider Supply Chain/RWS strategy and policies.
  • Provide training, support and development opportunities to your team along with a positive results-oriented working environment.
  • Partner with teams across RWS as needed and ensure we keep good relationships with both internal stakeholders and suppliers working on the program you support.
  • Provide support to suppliers with client-specific issues and/or processes and drive/support end-to-end process optimization where applicable.
  • Proactively flag any risks or potential improvements to our existing workflows and processes, including creation of risk mitigation and/or improvement plans and their implementation
  • Act as an advisor for your area of expertise and participate on operational departmental planning.
  • Account-specific supplier performance management

 

Skills & Experience

 

  • 5+ years of experience related to supply chain management / vendor management / project management or similar role, ideally in localization and/or data services industry.
  • 2+ years of people management experience or demonstrated track record of people management potential (e.g. dotted line reporting model etc.)
  • Ability to define client/project-specific supply chain strategy, performance metrics and lead the team efforts on assigned projects and/or initiatives including implementation, tracking, reporting and corrective actions in line with wider departmental/RWS strategy.
  • Great communication skills, both spoken and written, along with a positive personality.
  • Process and results-oriented.
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) - e.g. VLOOKUPs.
  • Ability to stay organized and prioritize while engaged on multiple projects at once.
  • Ability to work with data, analyse it and draw relevant conclusions / provide recommendations and reports
