Job Description:

 

We are seeking a highly skilled DTP OCR Specialist to join our team and contribute to the efficient and accurate conversion of printed documents into digital formats. As a DTP OCR Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our digital content.

 

  1. Good skills in Adobe InDesign, MS-Word and OCR.
  2. Ability to convert editable or scanned PDF to Word or Indesign file format. Well known Optical Character Recognition (OCR) work and experience to handle Abby Fine reader or relavent conversion softwares.
  3. Expertise in Communication: The candidate should possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Effective communication is crucial for conveying messages clearly, collaborating with colleagues, and engaging with stakeholders.
  4. Communication skill rating should be 5 out of 5: The job description specifies that the candidate should have a rating of 5 in both written and verbal communication. This role may involve managing and leading multiple communication projects simultaneously. This requires organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  5. Experience in formatting work in different languages will be preferable.
  6. Ability to meet fast turn around time.
  7. Experience – 2 to 4 years
  8. Shift – Night Shift (8.30 PM – 5.30 AM India time) 

 

Candidates Experience:

  1. All candidates should understand the PC/Windows/MAC environment, knowledge of email, MS - Office and the Internet.
  1. Experience of using networks, other platforms, and any other application knowledge.

 

Responsibilities:

 

OCR Processing: Accurately process printed documents using Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to extract text and images.

Quality Assurance: Carefully review and edit OCR output to correct errors, inconsistencies, and formatting issues.

Image Pre-processing: Prepare images for OCR by enhancing their quality, removing noise, and correcting distortions.

Data Validation: Verify the accuracy and completeness of extracted data against original documents.

File Conversion: Convert documents into various digital formats, such as PDF, Word, Excel, or XML, as needed.

Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot OCR errors and implement solutions to improve accuracy and efficiency.

Stay Updated: Keep up-to-date with the latest OCR technologies and best practices.

 

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in DTP OCR processing and quality assurance.
  • Proficiency in using industry-standard OCR software (e.g., Adobe Acrobat Pro, ABBYY FineReader).
  • Strong knowledge of document formats and conversion techniques.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
