Job Title: Associate Senior Language Specialist

 

Location: Türkiye – remote working for Language Delivery Türkiye

RWS Division:

Language Delivery Türkiye is based in Istanbul and takes care of all RWS projects towards Turkish from several source Languages.

 

About The Role:

RWS Türkiye is currently looking for a native Turkish Translator to add to its in house team. Full-time temporary contract.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Provides high quality and accurate translations on a variety of client projects that involve diverse requirements. Reviews, edits, and proofs translations done by other translators. Performs the function of lead translator (planning and managing the work of in-house and freelance translators, quality assurance (QA), and providing linguistic support to the project manager.) Provides linguistic support on projects and to other RWS departments
  • Builds strong credibility with project team and clients through superior language skills and attention to details

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Requirements:

  • Education: at least a University degree in Translation or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience: Typically requires minimum of 1-3 years related experience. Relevant past experiences are considered when adjusting career level.
  • Main working language: English
  • Technical competence: Trados Studio or similar CAT tools user
  • RELEVANT: Past or current experience as Project Manager in LSP or agencies
  • Domain Competence:
    • Marketing or content creation
    • IT and Consumer Electronics will be considered a plus
  • Attention to Quality and Details
  • Follows processes, placing a priority on how things are done
  • Critical thinkers who learn and adapt to the acquisition of new knowledge with ease
  • Written Communication: expresses ideas clearly in email, reports, letters and other documents
  • Linguistic and textual competence in the source language and the target language: ability to understand the source language, fluency in the target language, and general or specialized knowledge of text-type conventions
  • Competence in research, information acquisition, and processing
  • Cultural competence
