Job Purpose

As part of the Development team, the successful applicant will be primarily focused on architecting and implementing features and enhancements for Morae’s Azure native products, with additional responsibilities including implementing CI/CD pipelines and refactoring existing code. Working closely with the Head of Development, the role provides the opportunity for a motivated candidate to have a leading role in proposing and establishing Azure best practices for the Development team.

Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Maintain a high standard in .NET cloud/web development using C# and Azure resources.
  • Implement ARM/Terraform templates for deploying Morae solutions via GitHub Actions.
  • Assist the Head of Development in researching/preparing Morae applications for listing on the Azure Marketplace.
  • Assist the Head of Development in identifying/preparing Morae applications for a potential Azure-based SaaS offering.
  • Deliver enhancements and bug fixes from the respective product backlogs.
  • Produce accurate and well-written software design documents and proposals, including task breakdowns and estimates.
  • Display a strong attention to detail and maintain a high delivery bandwidth under limited direction.

 

Skills & Experience

 

  • Report to and take direction from the Head of Development.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners and Technical Leads to foster Azure development best practices.
  • Ensure that best practices, documentation, and coding standards are followed and enhanced where possible.
  • Set an exemplary standard for junior colleagues to follow.
  • Experience 5+ Years.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Assist and mentor junior colleagues, establishing and monitoring best practices.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Comply with agreed methodology, standards, policies, and procedures to produce a consistently high standard of documentation, and ensure strong governance, sharing knowledge and providing feedback and ideas so that performance is continually improved.
  • Attending regular stand-up meetings for projects and ensuring the status and progress on all current work is always kept updated and communicated.

Necessary Technical Skills & Qualifications

  • Expert knowledge of C# / .NET and related technologies
  • Expert knowledge of Azure native software development
  • Master’s degree in computer science or comparable qualification
  • Very good knowledge of the Azure Well-Architected Framework
  • Very good knowledge of Azure Kubernetes Service
  • Very good knowledge of Azure Container Apps
  • Very good knowledge of IaaC
  • Very good knowledge of ARM and Terraform templates
  • Very good knowledge of CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions
  • Good knowledge of Azure SecOps
  • Good knowledge of security in web development
  • Good knowledge of relational databases

  • Working closely with the supervisors of the dev process ensuring projects are completed on time/budget.
