Job Purpose

Manages small and/or straight forward projects to implement solutions to clients that result in customer satisfaction, retention and ultimately repeat revenue growth. Applies project management and product/solution experience to efficiently and effectively implement projects.Provides PMO support to the technical team; scheduling and tracking work with other SDL teams and internal and external customers. Responsible for managing scope, time, quality and financial control.

Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

 

  1. Operational Excellence – Delivers small and/or straightforward projects on-time, within budget and with quality to customers, resulting in customer satisfaction. Coordinates the project to include: scoping, estimating, scheduling, budgeting and invoicing and project close. Takes actions to resolve issues and keep projects on track. Gathers necessary information to create and track work orders (e.g., scope, pricing, timeline). Creates and processes project financials, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Supports senior members of the PMO team delivering larger projects and provides administrative support to the technical resources for projects which are delivered by the technical lead.

  2. Delivers Quality, Value, Results – Uses project management methodologies, tools, and techniques to optimize project quality and profitability. Helps to build customer loyalty and identifies opportunities for improvement.

  3. Functional Excellence – Applies learnings from past projects to improve quality and efficiency. Actively develops skills and competencies to contribute to the overall effectiveness of the team. Contributes suggestions for process improvements within the team.

  4. Relationship Building – Builds relationships with team members and (internal and external) customers and communicates effectively.

 

Skills & Experience

 

  1. Typically requiring at least a degree or equivalent combination of education and experience unless otherwise stated in the job profiles.
  2. Typically requires a minimum of 1-3 years of related experience.
  3. Possess knowledge required to solve a variety of common business/ technical issues.
  4. Works on problems of moderately complex scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.
  5. Exercises independent judgment within defined procedures to determine appropriate action.
  6. Evaluates unique circumstances and makes recommendations.
  7. Complexity of business and/or technical issues and degree of independent decision making and actions progresses steadily over time to approximate Experienced career level knowledge and job complexity requirements.
  8. Receives little instruction on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments
