Job Purpose

RWS is recruiting a Senior Group Finance Manager who will be responsible for supporting the Head of Group Reporting in managing group and statutory reporting to ensure the company’s compliance with reporting requirements. The role requires you to be highly resourceful with a continuous improvement mindset for processes and controls. You will play a key role in ensuring the business fulfils its legal obligation and maintains strong financial standing.

 

You will report into and support the Head of Group Reporting. You will also work closely with other Financial Controllers and the wider finance team, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of the Group’s reporting.

Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Support the management of statutory accounting/reporting activities
  • Support the management of the statutory reporting for the Group, including drafting of the statutory accounts
  • Produce the Group consolidation and Group reporting pack to include balance sheet and variance analysis as required.
  • Support the production of accurate group management accounts on a timely basis
  • Provide input to the ongoing process of improving the quality of key information to internal and external stakeholders

 

  • Drive continuous improvements of statutory accounting/reporting processes
  • Provide feedback and recommendations to the Head of Group Reporting on potential opportunities to optimise and standardise existing methods and processes
  • Assist with the documentation of in-scope statutory reporting processes
  • Identify and help drive process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness of reporting activities

 

  • Ensure statutory accounting/reporting compliance
  • Ensure up-to-date knowledge and adherence to all applicable statutory reporting requirements
  • Ensure adherence to good corporate governance practices by ensuring transparency and integrity of reports prepared 
  • Assist in the coordination of external audits and all external financial filing requirements

 

  • Be involved in other ad hoc project work
    • Support the implementation of the new EPM Planning/Consolidation platform
    • Support the integration with the new global ERP system

 

Skills & Experience

 

  • 5+ years’ experience in a Group Finance team of a multinational FTSE / listed company
  • Qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA or global equivalent)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or other business-related discipline
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills across all levels of management
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a proactive approach, accustomed to working towards tight deadlines whilst maintaining quality of work
  • Experience with different finance systems
  • Strong English language skills
  • Strong analytical mindset with a “hands on/ can do” attitude
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and quality
