Job Purpose

The Business Development Manager is responsible for growing revenues through winning new clients and developing large complex accounts. The BDM’s prime responsibility is to create customized solutions for identified leads and turn business opportunity into customer acquisition. The Business Development manager performs all steps of the business development process. The BDM Senior also manages some relationships with existing clients (large complex accounts). The BDM's client portfolio generates approximately $2m+.                                                                       

Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Having a comprehensive channel strategy/multipoint lead generation
  • Developing a healthy pipeline of suspects and prospects and accurately forecasting business deals to be closed.
  • Attending and representing the company at various business and industry meetings and trade shows.
  • Prospecting to establish new accounts and extending business in existing accounts.
  • Maintaining contact and opportunity information complete, accurate and in a timely manner.
  • Business conversion: Prospecting, qualifying, proposing, negotiating, and closing mid/large sized business deals.
  • Building credible and lasting relationships with prospects and customers for repeat business.
  • Setting customer expectations consistent with service offerings and delivery potential.
  • Keep customer relationship management system up to date on daily basis.
  • Working with onsite and offshore teams to build proposals through to securing business and post contract management.
  • Achieving booking, billing and profitability targets for the region.

Skills & Experience

 

  • MUST have AT least 5 years of successful experience selling IT Services sales in the MEA/APAC Market with a proven track record and excellent sales and account management credentials.
  • Candidate should have IT Services selling and new account generation experience in Digital and Cloud Solutions across different technology platforms.
  • An in-depth knowledge of the dynamics of the IT services industry
  • Strong hunter profile with a proven track record of success in selling tech services.
  • Extensive experience of direct selling of IT solution services
  • Successfully pursued business that supports the core services as Digital Transformation Services across different technology platforms.
  • Established network of business contacts in Tech Services/Solutions.
  • Knowledge/experience with cloud-based applications
  • Experience in selling AI/ML/Data Science related services/solutions.
  • Experience in selling Technology Solutions to enterprise clients in Digital Solutions/Transformation, Cloud Engineering, Systems Integration, Full-stack Applications Development, DevOps Automation, QA, Onsite/Offshore IT Service Delivery, IT Outsourcing and Remote IT Services.
  • Previously attained a minimum of $1m in new business quota each year.
  • Experience with Managed Services offerings
  • Ability to convince, handle objections, and closing big-sized deals quickly.
  • Relevant C-level contacts in the MEA/APAC market
  • Must be both dynamic and proactive in sales approach and be extremely solution oriented.
  • Excellent communication skills.
