Group Technology enables the organization to achieve its strategic direction whilst driving shareholder value. The division establishes common standards and IT governance across the business. It further develops and manages core applications enabling smooth operational running of the organization across all functions. We drive and deliver future roadmaps aligned to the overall strategic direction of the business. Group Technology support services to over 7500 end users across the globe, manage the information security operation and safeguard all our assets. Our core Group Technology functions include Technical Architecture, Network & Voice, IT Security, Service Delivery, Solutions Delivery and Asset Management. Group Technology has a global presence across all regions with over 400 staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Nutanix, VMware, and Kubernetes Engineering: Manage and maintain Nutanix, vSphere/ESXi, vCloud platform, TKGI/Kubernetes platform, Micro segmentation, and Kubernetes/Containers.
• Operating Systems: Proficient in both Windows Server and Linux. Analyze and resolve problems associated with the operating system's servers, hardware, applications, and software.
• Server Back-End Infrastructure: Responsible for the configuration, maintenance, monitoring, administration, and support of server back-end infrastructure.
• Backup and Recovery Procedures: Implement, configure, maintain, and monitor system and data backup, restore, backup archiving, and system recovery procedures.
• Data Replication: Implement, configure, maintain, and monitor data replication processes.
• Monitoring: Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues. Ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability.
• Technical Documentation: Develop and update technical documentation as required.
• Service Level and Operational Performance: Meet and exceed all metrics in server operation service level and operational performance.
• Automation and Scripting: Experience with automation and scripting using PowerShell and Ansible.
• Continuous Improvement: Proactively improve service, streamline processes, and optimize costs.

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as an Infrastructure Engineer or similar role in a global company.
• Highly proficient in the English Language.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• An aptitude to tackle and own a challenge through to its conclusion.
• Thinking outside the box, open mind to new tools and changing processes.
• Ideas generator and innovator: always asking Why? How?
• Self-starter requiring little supervision to complete tasks independently, curious, self-developer.
• Proven ability to create solutions for a variety of projects.
• Strong knowledge of Nutanix
• Strong knowledge of VMware platforms (vSphere/ESXi, vCloud, TKGI/Kubernetes, NSX-T, Aria) and Kubernetes/Containers.
• Proficiency in Windows Server and/or Linux operating systems.
• Experience with server infrastructure.
• Familiarity with system and data backup and recovery procedures.
• Knowledge of data replication processes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to develop and update technical documentation.
• Experience with automation and scripting using PowerShell and Ansible.
